We would love to get to know you better and to welcome you at one of our Sunday meetings
We meet every Sunday at…
at St Peter’s School
Little Green Lane
We start with coffee and our meeting begins at about 10.15 AM
There are a few parking spaces on the school site, and plenty of free parking on Little Green Lane. Please respect our neighbours!
What to expect
We’re a community of people of all ages and backgrounds, and we hope that you’ll feel welcomed whoever you are.
You will notice a group of musicians who lead us in a range of songs, some old, some new to help us express our praise to God.
The person leading the meeting will pray and may mention events that are coming up.
We don’t ask for money during our meeting – many of our regular members give by standing order, and we also have a collection box near our bookstall.
One of the church family will read a passage from the Bible, and the talk that follows will explain what the passage means and how it applies to us today. You will find a blue church Bible on your seat and the reader will give out the page number so everyone can follow. You won’t be asked to stand up, come to the front or be embarrassed in any way!
We serve tea and coffee before the meeting. Our aim is that whether you are just looking into Christianity for the first time, or have been a Christian for many years, you should be encouraged and inspired by the morning. We hope that everyone will draw closer to God.
What about children?
We are all together for the first 20 minutes or so, usually with a short item for the children. Then we have a whole range of activities in different rooms for each age group, with lots of leaders. One of the adults leading the groups will point you and your child to the right room. You can find details of children’s groups here.
Does it matter what I wear?
No! Believe it or not some people do wonder if there is a dress code for church. Wear whatever you feel comfortable in. We are an informal family church and accept people as they are.
